A a man has been charged after a pedestrian was killed in a crash in southern Sydney.
Emergency services called to King Georges Road in Blakehurst, just south-west of Kogarah, out 6.50pm yesterday found the 60-year-old woman had been hit by a car.
Paramedics tried to save the woman, who is yet to be formally identified, but she died at the scene.

The 28-year-old male driver was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Early this morning, police said he'd been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, and negligent driving occasioning death, and had his licence suspended.
He was bailed to appear in Sutherland Local Court on May 20.
Two of three westbound lanes were temporarily closed but had reopened by this morning.
The Crash Investigation Unit will examine the crash, where a crime scene was declared and a large area cordoned off.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
