Australia is hoping to really shake up the Eurovision stage after SBS announced the latest artist to take on the challenge.

Go-Jo – also known as Marty Zambotto – will represent Australia when the iconic singing contest takes place in Basel, Switzerland, from May 13-17.

Zambotto will perform his song Milkshake Man, which has been released today.

"Ahh it's a dream to be a part of Eurovision 2025 and so proud to be representing AUS!" he wrote under the music video posted by his official Go-Jo Youtube channel.

Zambotto grew up in Manjimup, in Western Australia's south-west. His mother, herself a musician who fronted a local rock act., bought him an electric guitar when he was a teenager.

The young man was also a promising Aussie Rules football player, with the Western Australian Football League bringing him to Perth to further develop his talent.

But ultimately he chose music, describing it as "the universe flickering its high beams" at him.

As Go-Jo, Zambotto has more than 1.4 million followers across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.

In 2023, he was the ninth-most streamed Australian artist in the world, and he has toured not only nationally but in Europe, the US, and south-east Asia.

His hit single Mrs Hollywood has more than a billion views across all platforms, and more than 60 million digital streams.

"The Milkshake Man's purpose is to inspire people to embrace the loudest and proudest version of themselves, and I can't think of a better place to share that message than the Eurovision stage," Zambotto said.

"It's an absolute dream come true to represent such a beautiful and diverse nation, and I've never been more excited to share my art and vision with the incredible Eurovision fans around the world."

Eurovision 2025 will mark Australia's 10th year of participation in the world's biggest song competition.
