Jury to hear claim woman 'deliberately' killed at beach

Prosecutors in the trial of a man accused of killing a young woman at a Queensland beach are due to continue laying out their case that it was a deliberate killing.

Rajwinder Singh pleaded not guilty in the the Supreme Court yesterday to the murder of 24-year-old Toyah Cordingley more than six years after the young woman's body was found buried at an isolated beach.

Nathan Crane is due to continue his opening address to the jury at Cairns yesterday, having earlier said Cordingley suffered wounds that could only have been inflicted by someone with an intent to kill.
