A 24-year-old woman has been charged over the death of a nine-year-old boy in north Queensland overnight.
Emergency services were called to a Charles Street home at Kirwan in Townsville, at about 7.05pm yesterday, following reports a boy was unresponsive.
Upon arrival, officers found the boy dead.

The woman was taken into custody at the scene without incident, police said.
It will be alleged the woman and boy were known to each other.
She has been charged with murder and is due before Townsville Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Investigations into the circumstances of the boy's death are continuing.
