Two men charged after gunshots allegedly fired during brawl

Two men have been charged after a gun was allegedly shot into the air during a brawl in Sydney's west last week.

Police were called to Dudley Road in Guildford after reports of gunfire at 2am on Saturday, December 28.

Officers were told that a group of men had been in a fight before they had arrived.

Police allege that a gun was fired into the air during the altercation and the men fled.

Following an investigation, two men both aged 22 were arrested in the Granville area at 4.45pm yesterday.

They were taken to Granville Police Station.

One man was charged with affray and reckless wounding.

The other man was charged wIth discharging a firearm intending to cause harm, affray and reckless wounding.

Both were refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Local Court today.
