Murder probe after deadly house brawl in Melbourne's north

A man has been killed and two other people injured after a fight inside a home in Melbourne's north.

Police were called to a property in Thoresby Circuit at Craigieburn about 6.45pm yesterday where they found a male with a stab wound.

He was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries but later died.

He is yet to be formally identified.

Police arrested a 54-year-old man at the scene.

He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries under police guard.

A 54-year-old woman was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe all parties are known to each other.

Officers cordoned off the area and a crime scene has been established.
