A man has been charged with 76 offences related to historical child sex crimes that allegedly took place over decades on the NSW Mid North Coast.
Detectives arrested the 54-year-old man about 10am yesterday, nearly a year after forming a strike force to investigate the allegations.
Police will allege 76 child sex and physical violence offences occurred against eight children in Coffs Harbour between 1998 and 2008.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the alleged offences under Strike Force Durrumbul.
The man was refused bail to appear before Goulburn Local Court today.
