Wind-battered residents in New South Wales and Victoria can expect some respite today before a fresh burst of extreme weather sweeps in.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe weather warning this morning for a large area of central and eastern Victoria as well as southeastern NSW, including the Illawarra region, south of Sydney.
Forecasters say the damaging winds yesterday that caused a man's death and left 6000 homes without power in Victoria will redevelop over eastern and south-eastern parts of the state from tonight.
