Baby hospitalised after scalding attack in Brisbane park

A manhunt is underway after a baby was attacked with scalding liquid in a Brisbane park yesterday.

Police said the nine-month-old boy was at the park on Regina Street, Coorparoo, with family at about midday yesterday.

A man not known to the group approached and poured a hot liquid onto the baby, before fleeing the scene.

The baby suffered burns to his chest and face and has undergone surgery in hospital.

The heartbroken family told 9News they want his attacker found.

Police are investigating.
