Sydney's train network faces major delays after incident

Sydney's train network is facing major delays this morning after emergency services were required at St Peters station.

Commuters have been warned to allow "plenty" of extra travel time due to an incident.

"Some trains will be stopped at platforms while this incident is ongoing. Delay travel if possible or consider using other nearby public transport services," Transport for NSW siad.

Train services on the T3 Bankstown Line, T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line and South Coast had earlier been suspended in both directions.

Services are now up and running between Sydenham and Redfern, however delays will continue.
