A climate activist group which delights in deflating the tyres of SUVs under cover of darkness has popped up in a second Australian city.
After launching three nighttime attacks in Melbourne over the past two months, the Tyre Extinguishers last week claimed to have let down the tyres of 12 SUVs in Adelaide.
"TX spreads to another Aussie city," the group declared on its Telegram channel, where it publishes updates from groups operating in various cities around the globe.
EXPLAINED: Who are the Tyre Extinguishers and what do they want?
9news.com.au contacted South Australia Police but they could not confirm any incident reports without a street address of where vandalism occurred.
The group, which now has affiliates in more than 20 countries, launched its first attack in Australia on August 31, deflating tyres on up to 20 SUVs in the well-heeled Melbourne suburb of Toorak.
More vehicle ambushes followed in Melbourne on September 27 and October 18, according to posts on the group's social media.
Members are instructed to leave a pamphlet on the windshield of SUVs they have targeted, explaining to unsuspecting owners why their tyres were deflated.

The Tyre Extinguishers declare on its website that it wants "to make it impossible to own a huge polluting 4x4 in the world's urban areas".
The group claims SUVs are "gas guzzlers" and a "climate disaster", as well as the urban "tractors" being needlessly dangerous on roads.
They urge activism groups to target "posh and middle-class areas" in cities and towns.
SUVs make up more than 50 per cent of new vehicles sold in Australia last year.
