At the start of October, three states and one territory get to kick back and enjoy a long weekend.
The Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland are all celebrating public holidays on October 3.
The former three mark Labor Day, while the Sunshine State celebrates the King or Queen's Birthday.
Here's what the weather looks like across the nation's capitals, as of Friday.

NSW
Showers are forecast to spill over Sydney on Friday, with between 8 to 10 mm of rain forecast. Temperatures are expected to reach 20C.
The rain will continue into Saturday and conditions will be cooler, with a maximum of 18C on the cards.
For those trekking to Paramatta for the NRL grand final, there's a 80 per cent change of rain.

On Monday, for the public holiday, similar weather is predicted.
It will be partly cloudy on Monday with a minimum temperature of 10C and maximum of 20C.
ACT
A medium chance of showers is also forecast for Canberra on Friday. Temperatures will reach 17C.
Saturday will bring cooler conditions with a low of 5C and a high of 14C. There will be a high chance of showers.
Rain with ease over Sunday and Monday. A top of 17 and 19C is forecast respectively.

South Australia
It will be partly cloudy in Adelaide on Friday with a maximum temperature of 20C expected.
It will be mostly sunny on Saturday, with a high of 22C.
This will clear sunny 23C day on Sunday.
However rain will loom again on Monday with a slight chance of showers forecast. The mercury will peak at 24C.
Queensland
Brisbane has a mostly sunny, 26C day forecast for Friday.
However rain will develop over the weekend with a medium chance of showers forecast on Saturday, and a very high chance on Sunday.
