Victoria has recorded a slight increase in its daily COVID-19 number on the day thousands of people have returned to the office unmasked.
A total of 5852 cases were recorded in the state overnight and a further three deaths, after 5052 cases were recorded yesterday.
New South Wales has recorded just four cases more than Victoria overnight - 5856 - marking a slight drop from the 6014 cases recorded yesterday.

There were six more people in NSW who died with the virus overnight.
In Victoria, hospitalisations of people with the virus have slightly increased since yesterday.
There are 283 people in hospital with the virus, compared to 274 yesterday.
Of those patients, 42 in ICU, compared to 38 yesterday.

Thousands have returned to the office in Victoria today after the state's work from home recommendation was removed at 11.59pm on Friday.
The state's mask mandate for most indoor settings was removed at the same time.
The same measures had already been lifted in NSW.
