Stacey Klimovitch, 61, was shot after she answered her front door last night at a home on Queen Street in the Newcastle suburb of Stockton.

That 46-year-old was taken to an ACT police station to be served with a NSW arrest warrant, before being extradited to Queanbeyan on Monday, police said.

Once at the police station on the other side of the border, the man was charged with murder and later refused bail, to face the Queanbeyan Local Court on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old is accused of orchestrating the murder while the 46-year-old is accused of firing the weapon, police say.
